Burrata Caprese

This burrata caprese is a twist on a classic caprese salad. Heirloom tomatoes, burrata cheese, fresh basil and balsamic glaze come together for the perfect summer app or side dish.

Ingredients

  • (2) 4 oz burrata balls
  • 2-3 large heirloom tomatoes
  • 12 basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup arugula
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • balsamic glaze

Instructions

  • Slice heirloom tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices. Lay arugula in the center of your serving platter.
  • Alternate tomato slices and fresh basil around the perimeter of the serving platter. 
  • Place burrata balls in the center of the serving platter. Drizzle everything with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Right before serving, drizzle with balsamic glaze. Serve with a knife to cut the burrata.
