- 8 oz spaghetti
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 lb shrimp peeled and tails removed
- 1/4 cup packed fresh basil leaves chopped
Cook spaghetti to al dente in heavily salted boiling water according to the package instructions.
Meanwhile, heat a large sauté pan over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute while stirring.
Add the cherry tomatoes, salt and pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add white wine and simmer everything together for another 2-3 minutes.
Add the shrimp, submerge them in the sauce and simmer until the shrimp are opaque, flipping once.
Add cooked spaghetti and basil and toss to coat the spaghetti in the sauce.
Garnish with extra basil and parmesan cheese, if desired.
