These pear, blue cheese and honey crostini were born out of my love for charcuterie boards and finding the perfect pairing. My ideal charcuterie pairing is a chunk of blue cheese, a piece of fruit and drizzled with honey, so I thought why not turn it into crostini!
These pear, blue cheese and honey crostini are an elegant yet effortless appetizer that perfectly balance sweet and savory flavors. Juicy ripe pears bring seasonal sweetness, creamy blue cheese adds a tangy richness, and a drizzle of honey ties it all together all on a toasted baguette slices.
Whether youโre hosting a dinner party, need a quick holiday appetizer, or just want a snack that feels a little fancy, these crostini deliver sophistication with minimal cooking and effort.
Ingredients

Baguette: sliced and toasted to create the base for the crostini.
Pears: I used ripe Bartlett pears, thinly sliced.
Blue cheese: opt for a creamy blue cheese and mash or whip for a creamy, spreadable texture.
Honey: honey adds sweetness and compliments the other flavors beautifully. Serve the crostini with extra honey on the side so guests can opt to add more if they want.
Walnuts: adds a nice crunch and compliments the other flavors well.
Fresh thyme: adds a pop of freshness and color.
